Mila began her career in public speaking as a debater, participating in public speaking and debating competitions.
She won the Best Individual Speaker at the European Universities Debating Championships in 2001.
She won the Audience Award at the English Speaking Union International Public Speaking Competition, London in 2001.
Mila has obtained the Bronze, Silver Medal with Honours and Gold Medal with Honours in Speaking Verse and Prose from LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art)
She is one of the founding members and was President of the Board of Open Communication, a Belgrade-based NGO which promotes "civic discourse, non-violent communication, critical thinking, argumentative presentation of ideas, public speaking as a form of free speech and the use of parliamentary debate as an educational and promotional tool." She is a certified International Debate Trainer (IDEA-International Debate Education Association), and has taught at the World Debate Institute (University of Vermont) of the invitation of Prof. Alfred ‘Tuna’ Snider. In 2012, when Belgrade was the proud host of the European Universities Debating Championships for the first time, Mila wrote and directed the Closing Ceremony film.
